Pembroke Lodge Richmond Park wedding

About Morden Hall wedding photography Merton

If you are planning your wedding at this wedding venue, I can confirm you have made the right choice. I spent there all day as I photograph weddings from bridal preparations to the end of the wedding breakfast and reception. Morden Hall Park is hidden on the side of Morden Park, which is part of The National Trust. However, it is on private land, so no visitors to Morden Park have access there. You will be pleased to know, that there is a private car park, which will allow your wedding guests and wedding suppliers to park right in the building. Wedding coordinators, registrars, and all people at Morden Hall are very accommodating and helpful in any way, which makes your wedding day run smoothly.

Groom & Bridal Preparations at Morden Hall

As a bride you will be getting ready in a bridal suit, that is big enough for you to have all the bridal party in, so they can help you with all the final preparations and details. There is a beautiful fireplace and mirror, that is perfect for bridal portraits. From your room, there is also a relaxing view of the gardens, where we will take wedding couple portraits later on.

Wedding Ceremony at Morden Hall

Your wedding ceremony will take place at the ground floor hall, as you can see it is decorated in a modern and very likable minimalist way with a creamy tone. Of course, it depends on your wedding theme and input, on how you want your wedding ceremony room to look. It can have a more traditional look, if you add more flowers it can look more floral and boho. When I arrived, the room was already set up for the wedding ceremony. The wedding coordinators of Morden Hall are very experienced and everything was running to the scheduled time. They called all wedding guests and groom to take a seat and wait for the bridal arrival.

Once bridal preparations are finished, you walk out of the room, we can stop and take a few photographs of your bridal party in a hall that leads your room to the wedding ceremony hall. Your bridal party goes first down the stairs, and then your big moment comes as you make your way down the stairs and down the aisle. Everything is perfectly coordinated so you can just fully live your special moment, and enjoy your partner’s first look when they see you walking towards them.

The actual ceremony is exchanging your vows, exchanging rings followed by the very first kiss as husband and wife. After you and the witnesses sign the register, you make your way out as a husband and wife. This is the best opportunity for confetti shots. You receive congratulations from all your loved ones, and you can spend time with your guests in the gardens to celebrate with Champagne and canapes, or you can spend your time next door inside the reception hall. We can take this opportunity to photograph family group photographs.

Wedding reception & Wedding Breakfast at Morden Hall

The wedding reception and wedding breakfast take place in a very spacious room that is full of natural light and decorated in neutral colors. The wedding seating plan is displayed before the entry, so everyone can find their place to seat. You will enjoy a 3-course meal with music in the background, and after the speeches, we go to the gardens and take the wedding couple photographs. Morden Hall offers many fantastic opportunities for taking a couple of photographs, as there is a little river with a bridge, many different trees, swans, and beautiful natural patterns with plenty of sunshine. I love to photograph this Merton wedding.
